Grossenbacher ProGuide harness

The Grossenbacher ProGuide harness is one of the best all-rounder harnesses we have come across. It is very similar in overall design to the Fun Run harness, but in addition it offers a front d-ring option that allows gentle redirection if your dog pulls on the leash, as well as a unique double-girth set up for escape artists! Grossenbacher's intelligent design means that the dog is not constricted during redirection, nor are the shoulders blocked in a way that is detrimental to health. It can therefore be used both as a training harness and as an everyday harness.

The ProGuide offers full freedom of movement for all activities. The shoulder and elbow joints are always free and the dog can move without restriction. It is made of a light and flexible fabric that does not show any pressure points and does not chafe. Thanks to the ergonomic cut, the belly straps can be adjusted such that the dog does not feel any pressure on the spine. Grossenbacher uses high-quality, sturdy buckles that can withstand heavy loads.

The two girth straps can be independently adjusted but there is only one buckle on each side. This is a unique variation on a double girth harness and a great option for keeping your dog secure during training or on daily walks.

This harness has three connection points: a standard ring at the back of the harness, a front ring on the chest and an additional ring near the back of the neck (the 'first' ring). We recommend using the standard back ring for everyday activities. The front ring may be used temporarily for training; we suggest a double-ended lead so the single point of contact is not the front ring. The ring at the back of the neck can also be used for training or if you need to keep your dog close to you. You can also use a double-ended lead when using this 'first' ring.

There is a handle on the back (situated front to back) so you can briefly grab it to hold/assist your dog. (Size 3XS and smaller have no handle.)

Backorders are available in our standard colour range. Grossenbacher backorders usually ship to you in apx 6-7 weeks, pending product availability and workload/holiday season in Switzerland. Online backorders (as opposed to Custom Orders) are treated like normal orders and are exchangeable, but cannot be cancelled once placed and are not refundable (except as required under Australian Consumer Law). CUSTOM ORDERS

Grossenbacher products come in a large range of custom colour combinations. The ProGuide harness does have many (many!) other colour options available – we are happy to do special orders for colours we don’t stock, however custom orders are not returnable or exchangeable (except as required under Australian Consumer Law).

Please ensure you know what size will fit your dog so you are not disappointed when a custom order doesn't fit and can't be exchanged. We strongly suggest coming into the studio to try them on, or at least book a Zoom fitting session, before you order.

Custom Orders are paid for in advance and are not refundable or cancellable. Full payment is made before a custom item is ordered in for you.

Custom Orders usually take 6-7 weeks, but may take up to 12 weeks, to deliver to you depending on where we are in the order cycle and the workload/holiday season in Switzerland. All Grossenbacher harnesses are hand-made to order, hence the long wait time.
